Minardi Piquet Sport to launch car next week

The Minardi Piquet Sport team will launch its GP2 car for the 2007 season in Valladolid, Spain on Saturday 24th March.

The event will last the whole weekend, with parallel activities taking place from the 22nd to the 25th March. The fans will have the opportunity to see their local hero, Roldán Rodríguez, doing a demo run through the streets of the city at the wheel of one of the GP2 cars.

The team's launch for sponsors and public will take place on the 22nd of March at 21.00 o'clock, whilst two days later the team will organise the official launch of Roldán Rodríguez as the team's official driver.

On Sunday, the fans will have the chance to see Roldán Rodríguez in action in a road circuit designed for the occasion in the Campo Grande area. The Spanish driver, who will go around the track with his team mate Alexandre Negrao and other drivers from the team, will do three exhibitions with his GP 2 car at: 12:30, 12:45 and 13:15.

After the demonstrations, the fans will be able to take pictures and get the autographs of Rodríguez and the rest of drivers.
