Villa ready for opening race

Villa ready for opening race

10 April 2007

Javier Villa is looking forward to start the season this weekend in Bahrain. The young Racing Engineering driver will start his second GP2 season this weekend in Sakhir.

"After the last tests, we are all looking forward to the season kicking off and we are confident with the work we realized during the tests although we know that we have to continue improving and from race to race we will be doing so," said Villa.

"The first race will be held in Bahrain, a track I never raced on, but we are confident because we thing, if we carry on with the good work done, we should be able to deliver a good race. Personally I think that in qualifying we can be in the top 5-6 drivers, which would be a good start into the season. In the race we have to fight, but it is fundamental to be fast and from there on we will be developing."
