Glock fastest in practice
13 April 2007 / Results / PhotosiSport International driver Timo Glock posted the fastest time in the opening session of the GP2 season in Bahrain. The BMW Sauber test driver's time of 1m42.223s beat second fastest Luca Filippi of Super Nova International by just over half a second. Alexandre Negrao was third quickest for Piquet Sports as the team carries on without its star man Nelson Piquet jr.
Another Formula One part-timer to do well was Kazuki Nakajima of DAMS, who ended up fourth, ahead of Lucas di Grassi for ART Grand Prix and Antonio Pizzonia for FMS International, who rounded off the top six. The late Ayrton Senna's nephew Bruno Senna was a solid tenth fastest as he made his debut for Arden International. Meanwhile, the only British hopeful was Mike Conway in his Super Nova, who went twelfth fastest, albeit just over a second off the pace.
