Perfect day for Zuber
13 April 2007Andreas Zuber is delighted with his top three performance in qualifying and is confident that he can convert that into a podium finish come the sprint race tomorrow.
"It's great - as I told everyone after the pre-season tests my aim is to be top five in qualifying and top three in the race, and now I'm third in qualifying so it's good for me," the Austrian said.
The 2006 Istanbul winner is doubly satisfied to have out-qualified his more experienced and very talented team-mate at iSport International Timo Glock.
"My aim is always to be close to Timo, and I've beaten him already in qualifying. It's good for me, but he is a very, very good racer, so let's see tomorrow - I don't think Filippi will have the pace, but I think Negrao will be quick in the race, I guess both ART guys and Timo of course, so I think this will be a hard race tomorrow.
"I think I can drive to a podium - the car is perfect, the team is doing a great job, and everybody knows that. So we'll see," he added.
