On his return to the GP2 series, Borja Garcia is delighted to have finished both races in the points in Bahrain. The Durango driver feels it was important to get off to a good start in for the relationship between driver and team to grow and now he believes that even stronger results are in the pipeline, starting at the next round in Barcelona.
He said of his fourth place in the sprint race: "I feel very happy because I had a little problem with the brakes today because of the race yesterday, so I started out with new brakes and for five laps the pedal was too long so in the first laps I was passed by Lapierre, Filippi and Glock, but in the middle of the race it was fine and the times of Glock and Filippi was slower than me, but the first laps was the problem for me. But I am so happy because for two races I finished in the points so I think I made a good job. We had a little problem but I think it will be okay for Barcelona.
"It was very important for me and for the team, especially to get more confidence - now I know in qualifying or in the race it is possible to get in the top five or six. I think it will be a lot of work to get on the podium, but definitely it is possible. In Barcelona and the tracks I know it is definitely possible to get points or even maybe win one race."
