Glock dedicates win to his team

Timo Glock was clearly the best GP2 driver this weekend. Due to a safety car situation in Race 1 he lost first position to Bruno Senna, but in Sunday's sprintrace Glock went from a seventh starting position to victory. Glock dedicates his victory to his mechanics and rest of the team he said after the race.

Speaking about his victory Glock commented: "It's great - yesterday I think we had the pace to win the race, but we had a bit of bad luck with the safety car because it was out too long for us; three laps too long for our strategy. Today I said to the team that I want to win the race for the mechanics and the whole team, because they did a perfect job over the winter and this is the result of it. We found something then, and I don't know if it's for every race or especially for Barcelona, but we had such good speed - the car was just perfect."

Glock isn't sure if he can keep up this pace during the next Grand Prix weekend in Monaco. He said: "Maybe not like we did it today - that would be difficult. Monaco will be different because half an hour in qualifying, and a lot of traffic, means it's sometimes hard to find a clear lap. But Monaco is something special, something different, and I think at the other tracks we can be on the podium, but maybe not at the same pace that we had here."
