Maldonado fastest in practice

24 May 2007 / Results

On the opening day in Monaco Pastor Maldonado set the fastest time on the clocks. The Trident Racing driver was a tenth of a second faster than Timo Glock through the streets of Monaco.

On Thursday morning the Monaco Grand Prix weekend began for the GP2 drivers. In the session Timo Glock almost crashed his car near the swimming pool but he only just managed to keep his car out of the barriers.

Andy Soucek set the fifth fastest time but the Spaniard did crash his car. At Massanet he damaged the left side of his DPR car.

Bruno Senna and Nicolas Lapierre were a bit disappointing in Monte Carlo. The duo finished in 11th and 12th.

GP2's next free practice session will be at 09.00am (local time in Monaco) on Friday.
