Filippi qualifies in seventh

Filippi qualifies in seventh

A good qualifying result for Super Nova driver Luca Filippi today in Monaco as he managed to qualify himself in seventh position for the Monaco Grand Prix.

Unfortunately for the Italian he experienced serious engine problems ending the run early, just as a red flag was called when a Durango car hit the side, dumping oil onto the tarmac. When the session restarted however, no one improved their times, so Luca qualifies a gratifying 7th place for tomorrow's race.

Luca Filippi commented: "I do feel confident. We were fast, even without a clear lap. The second set of tyres were good, but didn't really get to use them, so we have an almost new set for tomorrow, when I'm sure we can go quicker. Starting in 7th position is good…the race is long and it is difficult to overtake, but with good strategy we can definitely gain places."
