Viso survives massive crash
30 June 2007Ernesto Viso has emerged relatively uninjured from a massive accident on the first lap of the GP2 race at Magny Cours this afternoon.
Viso went off at the Adelaide hairpin as he moved to avoid contact with a slowing car aheda of him, but was propelled into the air rolling over the concrete barrier and wall before coming to a rest.
The race was red flagged for an hour while medical crews extracted him from the car, but it is understood he was conscious in the medical centre. He is understood to be slightly concussed and will be kept in hospital overnight for observation.
