Niemela to replace Yamamoto at BCN

BCN Competicion driver Sakon Yamamoto won't finish the season with the Spanish team. Yamamoto will join the Spyker F1 team in Hungary as replacement to Christijan Albers who split with the F1 team. Yamamoto will be replaced by Markus Niemela at BCN.

The 24-year-old Finnish driver will finish the season with BCN Competicion. He will enjoy his first GP2 race this weekend at the Hungaroring. Niemela has been a winning protagonist of several series for many years now (F. Ford 2004, BMW 2005, F. Renault (GB) 2006 and European F. Renault 2007). The young Finnish driver is a good friend of the official Renault driver Heiki Kovalainen. Niemela will debut on the very same circuit that saw him second on the last European Renault Championship round.
