Carroll qualifies in seventh in tight qualifying session

14 September 2007 / Results / Photos

This afternoon's qualifying proved to be an extremely tight session, with first to seventh places eventually split by just four tenths of a second. Adam was immediately on the pace, leading the pack after his first flying lap. He fell to third a lap later, the position that he maintained for the majority of the session, but a late spell of fast laps from his competitors pushed him to seventh.

Adam Carroll commented: "We hoped to be higher than seventh on the grid, but it was an extremely tight session this afternoon and I think we can expect another very competitive day tomorrow. Hopefully though we will be able to fight through and get a podium. It's great to be returning to Spa. I've had some really good results here and it's a fantastic track to drive so I'm confident that we can have a good race from seventh."
