Carroll fastest with iSport in morning session
04 October 2007 / Results / Photos2007 GP2 Series champions iSport International have topped the first morning of the first post season test at Jerez, with Adam Carroll at the wheel of the number 5 car which took Timo Glock to victory in the race and the championship on Sunday in Valencia.
The Ulsterman was in fine form for the champions, setting a 1:28.036 to fend off the challenge of Bruno Senna at the wheel of the Campos Grand Prix car. Third quickest was Roldan Rodriguez in the familiar surroundings of his Minardi Piquet Sports car, while Mike Conway took fourth spot for ART Grand Prix.

Javier Villa was only 0.3 seconds off the top spot in fifth for Racing Engineering and just 0.065 ahead of Luca Filippi who had topped much of the session for DPR. He was classified sixth at lunch with his team-mate for the day Andy Soucek seventh. Geido Van der Garde was the first of the non-2007 GP2 Series drivers on the timesheets, taking eighth place for Arden 0.682 off Adam's best, with Vitaly Petrov taking his race-winning Campos to ninth as Clivio Piccione returned to the GP2 Series in tenth for FMS.
