Senna fastest with iSport on Friday morning

05 October 2007

Team champions iSport International spent the second morning at Jerez at the top of the timesheets, as today Bruno Senna led the running in Spain. The Brazilian was in fine form to take the #6 iSport to the top of the sheets, with his 1:27.015 eclipsing the quickest lap set here last season in GP2 testing.

Second this morning was yesterday's fastest man of the morning, Adam Carroll, after his switch from iSport to Minardi Piquet machinery, narrowly beating Giorgio Pantano who made a return to Campos Grand Prix following a few days rest to reflect on his well-deserved third place in the 2007 championship.

The man he beat to that third place by way of race wins, Luca Filippi, was fourth quickest showing again how fast he can be over at DPR. Fifth place went to Karun Chandhok on the Indian's first outing with iSport International, while Javier Villa finished sixth for Racing Engineering.

Of the new batch, Marco Bonanomi was again the fastest man, setting the eighth fastest lap for Minardi Piquet, ahead of Giedo Van Der Garde at Dams.

The top ten this morning;
1 Bruno Senna (iSport International)
2 Adam Carroll (Minardi Piquet Sports)
3 Giorgio Pantano (Campos Grand Prix)
4 Luca Filippi (DPR)
5 Karun Chandhok (iSport International)
6 Javier Villa (Racing Engineering)
7 Andreas Zuber (Trident Racing)
8 Marco Bonanomi (Minardi Piquet Sports)
9 Giedo Van der Garde (Dams)
10 Borja Garcia (BCN Competicion)
