Commenting on his announcement Grosjean said: "I am very happy that Frederic Vasseur and Nicolas Todt have given me the chance to evolve in the best GP2 team and I hope to be able to pay them back with some good results. I am also very happy to continue working with the same team that brought me to the title in the F3 Euro Series. The objective will be to repeat this result in GP2."
ART Grand Prix team boss Nicolas Todt said about his new driver: Romain is the second driver after Lewis Hamilton who symbolizes the synergy between GP2 and the F3 Euro Series within the ART Grand Prix team. We will recreate the same conditions for Romain that we had in place for Lewis and hope to get the benefit from them. It was also important for ART Grand Prix to continue working with the Renault Driver Development Programme and we are thrilled that Romain cements this profitable collaboration. The choice of Romain continues ART Grand Prix's tradition of securing the best drivers in the advancing formulas of the support series and to help them succeed on the highest level."
