Bakkerud joins Super Nova
20 December 2007The Super Nova Racing team confirmed that Christian Bakkerud will be the team's race driver in the new GP2 Asia series which starts in January 2008.
With a week of testing under his belt at Super Nova, Christian said: "I'm really pleased to have secured a deal with Super Nova for the GP2 Asia Series. The team have a great pedigree in GP2 and before that in F3000 and we know they have the experience and resources to compete for podiums and wins. This is a great opportunity for me and I am really looking forward to continue to work with them.
"My goal is clearly going to aim for podium finishes and race wins. I have learnt a lot in my first and very troublesome season in the GP2 series but I am ready to move on and prove myself in a different team environment. Things are finally falling into place and I can assure you that I will grab this opportunity with both hands!"
