Kobayashi and Maldonado penalised
20 July 2008Kamui Kobayashi was handed a 25 second penalty after today's sprint race in Hockenheim when it was shown that he caused an avoidable collision with Diego Nunes. As a consequence, the Dams driver looses his bonus point for fastest laptime since he dropped out of the Top 10. Sébastien Buemi who was second quickest in the race inherits it.

Pastor Maldonado was also penalised after he caused an avoidable collision with Lucas di Grassi, which forced the Brazilian to an early retirement. The piquet Sports driver was then handed a 10 grid position penalty for Budapest.
