Durango and Valsecchi extend contract

Davide Valsecchi, winner of the final race of the season at Monza, has extended his contract with the Durango team. The Italian will compete for Durango in the upcoming GP2 Asia Series and the GP2 Main Series in 2009.

Valsecchi commented on his new deal with Durango saying: "I had a very good time with Durango last season, like they say during the wedding ceremonies, both in the good and in the bad circumstances. So for me to stay at Durango has been a logical choice, with the aim to completely deliver, during the next season."

Valsecchi will start his preparations for the new season on Thursday and Friday during the official GP2 test session at Paul Ricard. He will be joined by Carlos Iaconelli.
