Kobayashi sets the pace at Paul Ricard

Kamui Kobayashi set the quickest laptime of a trouble-free session this afternoon in a 1:13.158 ahead of Alberto Valerio on Piquet Sports and Davide Valsecchi who has resigned for another year with Durango for both GP2 Asia and GP2 Series. 

Diego Nunes was fourth fastest at the wheel of the iSport car, ahead of Vitaly Petrov, rookie Oliver Turvey on ART Grand Prix, Roldan Rodriguez on the second Piquet Sports car, Paul Di Resta on the second ART car and Luiz Razia on Racing Engineering. 

The session was stopped for a few minutes after Kevin Nai Chia Chen crashed his Fisichella Motor Sport International car at the back straight chicane. 

Tomorrow's session will start at 9am local time.
