Racing Engineering team-mates Dani Clos and Lucas di Grassi have received 10-place grid drop penalties ahead of the penultimate two rounds of the season at Monza. Spa stewards judged the pairing to have caused unavoidable incidents in Belgium and the duo will be dropped down the Round 17 starting grid as a consequence.
Both incidents in question occurred during the Spa sprint race on Sunday morning and will see both Clos and di Grassi start the first Monza race ten slots further back on the grid than their qualifying positions.
Spaniard Clos made rearward contact with Nico Hülkenberg's ART Grand Prix car at the start of the race whereas Brazilian di Grassi was involved in a collision with the Arden of Edoardo Mortara at the Bus Stop chicane on the Lap 4 restart.
