Chilton joins Addax for Asia Series

British Formula 3 star Max Chilton has been signed by the Barwa Addax team ahead of the upcoming GP2 Asia Series. The Englishman will enjoy a test session in Spain before the season-opening race weekend in Abu Dhabi.

With Chilton, brother of British Touring Car star Tom, having impressed in BF3 throughout 2009, a contract with Addax is a dream come true.

"I've got a two-day test at Jerez on October 5 and 6 and then we fly out two weeks later for the first race in Abu Dhabi," the 18-year-old commented. "I feel a little bit nervous, because I haven't driven the car yet, but we'll see how it goes and if the team thinks I'm quick enough then we'll do the main series next year."
