DAMS confirms Vietoris and Piscopo

The DAMS team has confirmed its driver-line up ahead of the upcoming eight-race GP2 Asia season. Joining the French outfit will be Germany's Christian Vietoris, runner-up in this year's Formula 3 Euroseries, and Italian Formula 2 racer Edoardo Piscopo, runner-up in the Italian F3 Championship of 2008.

With DAMS being the reigning GP2 Asia Champions for both drivers and teams, there is naturally a lot to play for as the outfit attempts to hold onto the crown clinched by Kamui Kobayashi last time around.

"New season, new drivers, new challenges…but only one single goal for DAMS: to make this new GP2 Asia season as successful as last year," said team CEO Jean-Paul Driot. "The motivation of the team is even stronger than ever to meet this challenge and to keep the titles we claimed last year!"
